The StarShoot 2" Motorized Filter Wheel and LRGB Filter Set Package will make sure that all of your astro-imaging sessions are as productive as possible! While it ensures automatic and easy filter transitions for your monochrome imaging set up, it will also save you imaging time. To easily transition filters for automatic LRGB (Luminance, Red, Green, and Blue) imaging, load up the 4 included filters into the StarShoot 2" Motorized Filter Wheel and use your imaging software to change filters automatically. Your PC can do the hard work of grabbing the separate exposures through each filter. Versatile threading and adapters provide several attachment methods, including T-threads for focusers with camera adapters, a removable 2" nosepiece, and a removable T-thread adapter for camera attachment.

This filter wheel is powered by the USB port, meaning that you do not need to tangle up any additional cables for power. It is both ASCOM compatible and Windows compatible. The StarShoot 2" Motorized Filter Wheel is perfect to use with a mono chip camera since it consumes only 1" of focus travel. However, it can also be used with color cameras when you want to switch between filters such as light pollution or neutral density filters.

They are capable of creating high-quality composite color astro-images of deep-sky objects with monochrome cameras. When you combine separate images taken through the 4 filters with a monochrome camera, you yield a higher resolution final image with better color rendition than an image from a comparably sized color chip. Orion's 2" LRGB filter set features robust dichroic glass filters that are designed for maximum light transmission. The color filters have both an IR (infrared) and UV (ultraviolet) blocking coating.
